half hitch gaff/plier wrap

as a lil tot on the cattle boats, i used to admire the old deckhands with their nice nylon chord wrap on their gaffs and pliers.  turns out its only a few, well, a lot of half hitches.  you can then brush on a coat of epoxy if you wish, but the nylon seems to hold up pretty well on it's own.
