after spending the weekend with a buncha bikeheads in santa cruz i felt like it was due time that i get back in the saddle.  i dusted off my cyclocross bike; old red, a lemond poprad and took her out for a much deserved szechuan.  took advantage of the oddly still day, and perched atop eagle rock in topanga SP to enjoy a view of the san fernando valley all the way out to lake pacific and the outerlying channel islands

frosty explains how he fits 9 boards, and still has room to sleep two inside his chevy when venturing south to the promise land. the key is the pairs of hardwood boards that run the length of each wall and the ceiling, set out by little blocks every couple feet, just like the tie downs on an inside of a u-haul.  though he's got a 4x4 conversion by quigley and winches on custom bumpers on the front and back; it really is nondescript.  his philosophy is to keep everything neatly inside, and not to draw any attention to himself...i buy it...lord knows it ain't his first rodeo
