| went out for a stroll on the spit on the early low, and found squirting clams all over the joint |

| finally outsmarted the elusive Tresus capax (Horse clam), unfortunately they're outta season, so i buried it out of reach of the waiting gulls, but it was cool to see. this specimen's shell alone was easily 6 inches across, not to mention the siphon |
